The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice with a low water consumption. This refrigerator is the ideal option for households with a single member or kitchenettes looking for a built-in look and top of the line food preservation. This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for a few reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a tiny fraction – this is crucial to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our testing. Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a simple method to keep track of your refrigerator and control it, especially when not at home. But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. The fridge took a bit longer to defrost food and chill it than other models we tried. This is likely due to the greater capacity. Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people struggle to close them without slamming them. It would have been better if these had front-mounted handles. The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator If you're looking for an French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It has a simple design that isn't as striking visually as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a good choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly. The “Chill Drawer”, which sits over the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This is a great performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our ratings. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a “smudge proof” finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
